Review

Learning to knit is such a useful activity, and once mastered there are endless ways to create the simplest of items in so many different environments, all you need are needles, yarn and a pattern.
Fiona Goble is the author of several best-selling knitting books and this is a delightful example of her work. We love this collection and the way that Fiona has structured the content, packed full of examples of exquisite projects that are perfect for beginners, or those more experienced knitters who want to use up surplus yarn.
Starting with a really helpful techniques section, followed by three key sections, the first part is suitable for those who are just starting to knit and includes bunting, a mug cosy, phone and tablet covers, a very pretty heart garland and much more.
The second part is aimed at knitters who have mastered the basics but don’t want anything too challenging, these patterns include a cottage doorstop, a bathmat, the sweetest of egg cosies and a gorgeous storage basket as featured on the cover and much more! The third part is for slightly more experienced knitters, but the projects are still very achievable, a delightful beehive tea cosy, an adorable dog draught excluder, and even a backpack!
There are many more projects throughout the book, each one beautifully photographed, and an absolutely wonderful source of inspiration, full of items that are not only useful, but are the sort of items you would love to create for your own use, to wear, or as additions to your home, or to make as a gift for your friends and family, and perfect to introduce young people into the joy of knitting, you are never too young or too old to learn!
One of our favourite craft books of 2023!
Highly Recommended!
